District 2 – The A.A. Outreach Project

A project of developed by the District 2 Public Information Committee – to help the alcoholic that is still sick and suffering.

When: 2nd Saturdays at 11:00 AM

Where: The Westside Club
1341 Wisconsin Ave NW
Washington, DC 20007

What is the Outreach Project?

The A.A. Outreach Project consists of ready-to-go CPC and PI
projects that anyone in A.A. can do. These simple outreach
projects are deployed in various places throughout
Northwest DC including, clinics, universities, community
centers, churches, and libraries. In addition to the Outreach
Project, the District 2 PI committee works on other PI/CPC
projects, such as professional education meetings,
workshops, and much more.

ALL A.A. MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO VOLUNTEER
Outreach: Hospitals, Clinics, Police Precincts, Probation/Parole,Shelters, Libraries, Schools, Treatment Centers, Clergy and  more

We will provide all necessary training.

District 2 has created a Public Information Committee and is looking for volunteers.

Purpose: The purpose of the Public Information Committee is to carry the message of recovery to the still-suffering alcoholic by informing the general public about the A.A. program. The committee carries the message by getting in touch with the media, schools, industry and other organizations, and can report on the nature of A.A. and what it can do for alcoholics.

Committee Responsibilities include:
● Being familiar with the P.I. materials from G.S.O.
● Firm understanding of the Traditions and how PI committee work is done within their guidance
● Responding to requests for speakers from area professional programs and schools
Current Initiatives include:
● Outreach to local libraries, universities, and hotels
